Travel Booking Terms & Client Acknowledgement
By engaging Mike & Amy Travel to research, plan, arrange, or book travel services on your behalf, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Agency Role
Mike & Amy Travel acts as an independent travel advisor and arranges travel services through third-party suppliers, including but not limited to cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, airlines, transportation providers, and travel protection providers. We do not own or operate these suppliers and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, financial condition, or service delivery.
2. Client Responsibility for Accuracy
You are responsible for reviewing and confirming that all traveler names, dates of birth, travel dates, destinations, pricing, and other booking details are accurate before payment is submitted. Name changes, corrections, or other revisions after booking may result in supplier penalties, additional costs, or cancellation.
3. Required Travel Documents
Clients are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying all required travel documents, including valid passports, visas, identification, vaccination records, and any other entry requirements. Many destinations require passport validity of at least six months beyond the date of return. Failure to obtain proper documentation may result in denied boarding, denied entry, or cancellation with no refund.
4. Deposits and Final Payments
A deposit may be required to confirm travel arrangements. Final payment deadlines are set by the applicable supplier(s) and must be met on time. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation and loss of deposit or other monies paid.
5. Pricing and Availability
All pricing is subject to change until a reservation is confirmed and deposited or paid in full, as applicable. Availability is not guaranteed until booked. Quotes are based on current supplier pricing, space, and inventory at the time provided.
6. Changes and Cancellations
Any changes or cancellations requested after booking are subject to supplier rules, availability, and penalties. Additional agency service fees may also apply where permitted. Refunds, credits, and future travel funds are governed by supplier terms and are never guaranteed unless confirmed in writing by the supplier.
7. Travel Protection
Travel protection is strongly recommended. Declining travel protection may expose you to financial loss in the event of cancellation, interruption, medical emergency, travel delay, baggage loss, or other unforeseen events. If you decline travel protection, you assume full financial responsibility for any losses incurred.
8. Supplier Responsibility
All travel services are provided by independent third-party suppliers. Any transportation, accommodations, excursions, or other services are subject to the terms, conditions, and policies of those suppliers. Mike & Amy Travel is not liable for injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, irregularity, or expense arising from acts or omissions of any supplier or from events beyond our control.
9. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays, changes, cancellations, losses, or damages resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, acts of God, disease outbreaks, pandemics, government actions, civil unrest, strikes, mechanical failures, or transportation interruptions.
10. Health, Safety, and Travel Risks
Travel may involve risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, delays, supplier operational changes, and destination-specific conditions. It is your responsibility to determine whether you are physically and otherwise fit for travel and to review current health, safety, and entry requirements for your destination.
11. Credit Card and Payment Authorization
By submitting payment information, you certify that you are an authorized user of the payment method provided and authorize payment for the travel services requested. Charges may appear from the travel supplier or other authorized booking source.
Clients must pay suppliers directly using their own credit card or other approved payment method. Travel advisors do not accept client funds for the purpose of charging travel on the advisor’s personal or business credit card.
12. Travel Documents and Confirmation Review
It is your responsibility to review all confirmations, invoices, and travel documents immediately upon receipt and notify us promptly of any errors or discrepancies. Failure to do so may limit available corrections or remedies.
13. Consent to Communication
By working with Mike & Amy Travel, you consent to receiving communication related to your trip planning, booking, payment deadlines, travel updates, and related services by email, phone, or text, unless you request otherwise in writing.
Travel Arrangements Subject to Supplier Terms and Conditions
All travel arrangements made through Mike & Amy Travel are subject to the terms, conditions, policies, and rules of the applicable travel supplier(s), including but not limited to cruise lines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, airlines, ground transportation providers, excursion companies, and travel protection providers.
By requesting or authorizing travel arrangements, you understand and acknowledge the following:
Each supplier maintains its own terms and conditions, including booking rules, payment deadlines, cancellation penalties, refund policies, change fees, baggage policies, seating policies, health and safety requirements, and documentation requirements.
Supplier terms and conditions may limit or restrict refunds, credits, transfers, itinerary changes, name changes, and cancellations.
Supplier policies may change at any time, with or without prior notice, and may affect pricing, availability, travel dates, schedules, included features, or other components of your trip.
Certain travel components may be non-refundable, non-transferable, or subject to strict penalties once booked or ticketed.
Mike & Amy Travel is not responsible for a supplier’s failure to provide services, changes made by a supplier, bankruptcy, financial default, schedule changes, or refusal to honor any reservation, credit, or refund except as required by law.
It is your responsibility to review and comply with all supplier-specific rules and requirements associated with your travel arrangements.
By proceeding with any reservation or payment, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the applicable supplier(s).
